Today is Pentecost, the day when the Holy Spirit transformed a bunch of random and largely uneducated and inarticulate disciples into a multitude of eloquent and persuasive apostles who talked the Church into being. It is, therefore, not just the Church’s birthday; it is also a day when the Holy Spirit invites us to think about how and when and why we testify to the Gospel embodied and shared by Jesus Christ.
