Stewardship

This year’s stewardship theme is “House of Dreams, House of God!”

Through our giving of our time, talents, financial, and other resources to the Church, we ensure that there is a place where people can gather to hear and experience the good news of God’s love. Through our modeling of generosity, compassion, community, and service, we give the world a glimpse of what a future with hope could look like with God’s help. Our world needs this witness more than ever and you play a vital part.

This past year the leaders of the church have been dreaming lots of dreams as part of the future visioning process we began in January with a congregational survey. What does God want of us in the next five to ten years, and how can Prince of Peace best fulfill its calling to witness to the inbreaking of the Kingdom of God in the World? We have also spent the fall considering the intersection of faith and science. What evidence is there of the reality of God? Accordingly, our stewardship theme this year is “House of Dreams, House of God.”

We are called to be evidence to the world of the good news of the Gospel, both individually and through the Church. Stewardship is about how we do that. So, as you contemplate what percentage of your income you will pledge to God’s house, Prince of Peace, I invite you to ponder these questions. While you do, you will hear from leaders in the church about where they see God at Prince of Peace, and about some of the dreams we have for our facility and ministries in the future.
