Stewardship

This year’s theme for stewardship is “Our Money Stories.” In worship through the Scriptures and the recollections of some of our members, we will explore the stories we have been taught about money by our families, friends, and the world. We all have at least one money story, whether we recognize it or not. But we also have been given a story by God, which teaches us to understand our money and what makes for abundant life differently from how the world’s stories have taught us to see it. Therefore, to be good stewards of God’s grace and blessings, we may need to reframe our money stories. In her sermons, Pastor Elizabeth will invite you to do this through a process of “remembering, releasing, reimagining, and restoring” our stories.

As you contemplate how much you will pledge toward God’s service through Prince of Peace for 2027, I hope you reflect both prayerfully and joyfully on your money story, God’s abundance, and the role of the church in your life and in our community.
