We have lost our ability to recognize shades of gray and seem unwilling to recognize that good people can do hurtful things, and bad people can do good things. We deny the brokenness within ourselves while condemning the brokenness in others. Is it any wonder that we cannot come together to repair the systems of our society which are also broken?
