On Friendly Terms

God is the Almighty, Omnipotent, Omniscient, and Transcendent one; and truly, God is all of these things. But God has other qualities too, as we see in today’s texts, in which God’s relationship with human beings is described with a far more intimate, immanent, earthly human term: friend.
