Judah’s poignant speech about his father’s pain and his promise is really what changes Joseph’s heart because it reveals how much Judah has changed. Now he will not let his father lose his beloved son, and now Judah is willing to do what he did to Joseph, to become enslaved, in order to save Benjamin.
