About the Event
"Good poetry is like effective prayer, it feeds the human spirit, it nourishes, it puts us in touch with forces far greater than ourselves." (Lorna Goodison.) On May 2nd, 9th, and 16th at 10:30 a.m., we will gather to read and discuss some good, relatively modern poems. (This is not high school poetry class, though). The poems will soothe your soul, stimulate your mind, and tickle your funny bone. Jennifer McLean will facilitate the discussion and provide the poems. All are welcome!
