About the Event
Drive Your Plow Over the Bones of the Dead by Olga Tokarczuk, winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature. The book, set in Poland sometime after the fall of the Wall, reads a bit like a fable, with offbeat main characters who have very real questions about the value of a life, who is "useful," and who deserves to live. It is a quick read with intriguing ideas (270 pages).
