Cabinet of Curiosities: A Season of Gratitude: Memory Box Making

Join POP and artist Laura Pasquini for a creative workshop inspired by the magical box constructions of artist Joseph Cornell. Cornell transformed ordinary treasures—marbles, maps, glass bottles, photographs, and personal keepsakes—into small worlds filled with wonder and meaning.

As we enter a season of gratitude, we’ll create our own boxes celebrating people, places, memories, and little things that bring us joy. From a treasured object from a recent journey to the color on a butterfly’s wing, beauty and God’s grace can be found everywhere when we take the time to notice. Laura will begin with a short presentation before participants select a cigar box and begin creating. All materials are provided but please bring one small object, photograph, or keepsake you might like to incorporate into your artwork. Feel free to collect any little treasures of your own to include in your box if you like. Pizza will be served…
