"The Powers That Be and the Third Way of Christ", a Walter Wink Study.

Pastor Elizabeth preached on Walter Wink's research on the difference between the way the world uses power to oppress, control, and divide people, and Christ's way of using power to empower and connect people. Wink won awards for his trilogy exploring this topic in detail, and later rewrote his findings in a more accessible and shorter book called The Powers That Be. Pastor Elizabeth will lead a discussion of the book for all interested in reading it and learning more about this important and timely topic. We will meet on five Sunday afternoons at 3 pm, with sessions apart to allow for reading time.
