About the Event
The next book is "How to Read a Book" by Monica Wood.
The novel tells the story of Violet, a twenty-two-year-old released from prison after a drunk-driving crash that killed a local kindergarten teacher; Harriet, a former English teacher who runs the prison book club; and Frank, retired machinist and widower of the teacher who was killed. When the three encounter each other in a Portland bookstore, their lives begin to intersect in transformative ways.
