About the Event
Advent Study! “While We Wait” is an advent study on getting involved with a god who has always been involved with us and finding the good news in the old testament. As we enter the Advent season of waiting, hoping, and expecting, it is good to realize that the Good News of Jesus Christ did not begin with the New Testament.
Perhaps some of the challenges we face in the world today are because we do not truly commit to being involved with God. As we await the celebration of the birth of Jesus and the promise that God in Jesus Christ will come again, let us join together and examine and discern through poets, storytellers, prophets and teachers what it means for us to be involved with God: what it takes, what it costs, what it looks and feels like and why anyone would want to become involved with God in the first place. Join Parish Associate, Dottie LaPenta on Wednesdays, November 29, December 6,13,20 at 10-11:30 am in Classroom 2/4.
Sign up at the church or by contacting the office 410-721-2313; church.office@popchurch.org. You do not need to be a member to participate. All are welcome!
