I invite you to ponder the perspective shift offered to us in today’s psalm. The psalmist in Psalm 16 sees the cup and the blessings in a different way. “The Lord is my chosen portion and my cup,” the psalmist proclaims. “You hold my lot. The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; I have a goodly heritage.”
