One of the goals of Prince of Peace is to equip children to worship with the church community. To accomplish this we seek to be supportive of the needs of parents and caregivers, as we strive to make children and youth active participants in the worship experience. We hope that the Fish Bags, Children’s Time, Kids Own Worship (KOW) and Noah’s Ark (child care) help children and their families experience worship at Prince of Peace. The last Sunday of the month families are encouraged to worship together.

Fish Bags

These helpful worship aids can be found in the back of the sanctuary. Inside each bag children will find activity sheets, tablets, crayons and a prize that will help them experience worship.

Children's Bulletins

We have 2 children's bulletins each week (one for ages 3-6, one ages 7-12). These contain games and puzzles related to that week's lectionary. Ushers have them on-hand when you walk into service.

Children’s Time:

During worship children are invited to the front of the sanctuary to share is a time with the Pastor geared just for them.

Kid’s Own Worship (KOW):

Beginning midway through Sunday morning worship, KOW allows for children PK- 2nd grade to continue worship in a more kid friendly atmosphere. Kids Own Worship includes a Bible story, special activities, crafts and a small snack.

Noah’s Ark (child care):

Provides children younger than 4 years old a loving and nurturing environment while their parents are renewed in Sunday worship.

Lay Reader:

Our church has a history of welcoming children who can read to be the lay reader for the service.  We find this a great way to involve our children in worship and to help them acquire a very valuable skill - speaking in front of people.
