cooper Recently I had the opportunity to spend some time with a long-time member of our church, Catherine Cooper. Catherine joined POP in 1985 and has been a faithful member of the congregation. Many ladies of the church can attest to her outstanding sewing and quilting skills as they were lucky to pick her gift at the annual Christmas party.

rossAs we all know, Prince of Peace has many faces from many walks of life. This month I talked with the Ross family, Beth and Clarke. Their son, Andrew, is away at college. It is always interesting to talk about how folks reached this point in their lives.

 

Clarke has lived in the Crofton area since 1972, moving in to their present home in 1974. Beth joined him when they were married in 1988. His path to POP took a different twist than most, I think. danielewskiPrince of Peace is a diverse congregation, in abilities and in length of membership. Some folks have been members for more than thirty years, many between ten and twenty. Our Faces of Prince of Peace this month are new members having joined our fellowship just over two years ago. Chris and Julie Danielewski joined POP not long after they moved to Crofton three years ago. I asked what made them choose our church and Chris laughed and said "geography". They live right across Crofton Parkway in a townhouse. The couple did expand on their church selection – they checked the newspaper for area churches, visited a few, but chose POP. They felt welcomed, the people were friendly and they liked the children's program since they had a new son.
