Our adult study groups meet at 10:00am on Sundays in a classroom in the education wing of the church. New faces are always welcome.

 

Our adult Bible study this fall will be a 7 week Kerygma course studying the Psalms.

 

Sept. 19th - Psalms Overview

Sept. 26th - Psalms as Poetry
Oct. 3rd - Prayer Book for God's People
Oct. 10th - Psalms of Sacred History
Oct. 17th - Psalms of Trust
Oct. 24th - Psalms of Lament
Oct. 31st - Psalms of Praise

 

During this in depth study, questions will be answered including:

Did King David write the Psalms?
What does the word "Psalm" mean?
Were Psalms intended to be sung?
Why are there 150 Psalms?
What is the meaning of the superscripts above some of the Psalms?
Is there an order to the Psalms? What does "Selah" mean?
Were Psalms used in ancient Hebrew worship services?
