Pilates is starting again – Beginners class will be held at 9:30am on Wednesday, beginning September 8. Intermediate class will be held at 9:30am on Fridays, beginning September 10. The instructor is POP member Beth Ross. Contact Beth for further information and costs.

Annual POP Yard Sale happening on Saturday, September 25. Bring your "stuff" to POP the week of September 19 through September 24. For times and accepted donation items on the inserted flyer. Volunteers needed to help with set-up, pricing, sales and clean up. Check your calendar now to put in your POP church! All unsold items will be picked up by the National Children's Center, Inc.
Youth are needed to help at our annual mum sale happening with our Yard Sale, Bake Sale, and Crofton Craft Sale. Help customers purchase and carry to vehicles.
POP's Mission Committee will sponsor a bake sale during the POP Yard Sale and the Crofton Craft Fair! Funds raised are for the benefit of mission activities, of which POP sponsors or participates in very many. Donations of various baked good appreciated and needed. Popular treats are: cookies, brownies, muffins, bars, pies, cakes, etc. Sign up sheets to donate and/or to volunteer for sales is posted in the Narthex. Have you been itching to sing or ring? Whether your vocal chords need a workout or your childhood memories of ringing church bells haunt you, it's time to act on those thoughts! POP Music, the Senior Choir, the NOVA Ringers and Boyles Memorial Bell Ringers would love to have you join them.
Anne Arundel Fire Convention Parade will occur in our neighborhood on Saturday, September 11. Arundel Volunteer Fire will use POP's parking lot for staging. Impacted streets are Good Hope Drive, Urby Drive, Crofton Parkway (between Tarrytown Avenue and Duke of Kent Drive). Further information on flyer on office bulletin board.
Reception for Cindy Collins - After over 8 years of faithful service to Prince Of Peace Church, Cindy Collins is moving on to full-time work. The congregation is invited to the reception in Cindy's honor on Sunday, September 19 after the 11:00 am service, at Fellowship Hall. The light luncheon offered includes: rolls, lunch meat, cheese, fruit, chips and cookies. Nursery Room clean up is set for Sunday, September 5, after worship.
Beginning September 12, Prince of Peace returns to its regular Sunday worship schedule with two services: 9:00 am and 11:00 am. This schedule continues until Memorial Day weekend, 2011, except a few Sundays at Christmastime. Those will be announced separately at the appropriate time.
Sunday School registration forms are in the Narthex. Please complete and return to Director, Pam Ausiello. Donations are needed for the coming semester.
The Church Office will be closed on Labor Day, Monday, September 6, 2010.

The Ecumenical Traveling Choir will have a "dining to donate event" at Applebee's in Waugh Chapel, Monday, September 20, from 11:00 am to 12 midnight to help defray some of the costs of the trip to Barcelona. Enjoy a meal and let's help the Choir.
POP's Mission Committee will serve BBQ chicken on Sunday, September 12 at Sarah's House (near Ft. Meade). Needed: volunteers and guests, pre-cooked plates of BBQ chicken, canned green beans, lemonade mix, rolls, desserts, napkins, plates, cups, plastic utensils, paper towels and foil. POP Book and Movie Club’s next book is "Consequential Strangers -- The Power of People Who Don't Seem To Matter but Really Do" by Melinda Blau.
